Over 100 years of history
The Aero Club Como, founded in 1930, is a non-profit organisation promoted by pilots and flight enthusiasts who intend to maintain and develop the tradition of seaplane aviation. It is also the oldest seaplane flight organisation as certified by Guinness World Record ®.
Aero Club Como a.s.d. manages the flight school for seaplane pilots (IT.DTO.004), the most important on the European continent, both for those who start from zero and for those who are already a pilot and want to complete his training with the Sep (Sea) rating.
The following courses are available: private pilot licence (PPL),SEP (Sea) rating and SEP (LAND) rating, and the advanced course for seaplane pilots.
Our fleet
The Aero Club Como fleet includes 11 aircrafts and is the only one that includes all types: with hull floats, straight floats, and amphibians.
Of particular interest are the seaplanes historians, in perfect conditions of the flight, which offer riders the exclusive pleasure of using machines designed and built in the ’40s.
The Aero Club Como a.s.d. also operates and provide the following:
- Manage of Como International seaplane base;
- A documentation centre, a consultancy service for organisations and operators of multiple countries around the world for the realisation of seaplane base and in general any activities where a seaplanes is required.
