The course to obtain the Private Pilot License (PPL – Private Pilot License) is the first building block of a future pilot’s aviation career. The PPL license allows you to fly for non-remunerative purposes in Italy and, depending on the English language proficiency rating indicated on the licence, all over the world.
With the PPL license you can therefore fly in absolute freedom with any aircraft of our fleet or with aircraft of the same class (SEP / LAND or SEP / SEA) in all countries where the European license is recognized.
The courses include two parts: a Theoretical and a Practical element, which take place with the use of the aircraft in our fleet and in the classroom at our headquarters.
The Theoretical part (100 hours, of which a minimum attendance of 75% is compulsory) is held as evening classes – 2 appointments per week – lasting 2 hours. The course is divided into subjects, as required by EASA regulations. The teaching material is provided directly by Aero Club Como
The practical part includes in-flight missions lasting from one to two hours of flight and is agreed directly between the student and the instructor, during daytime only.
Once you have the PPL license, you can then add qualifications such as the use of retractable landing gear, variable pitch propeller and more, according to your needs.
